OVERVIEW:

The Temple of the Trinity situated in Kuberanagar of Tiruvannamalai has been built by Sri Rajaji Swamigal and is being maintained by Shree Padmavathi Thayar Trust.

​

In this temple, Lord Kubera Perumal with Sridevi and Bhoomadevi as main dieties, various other deities such as Lord Lakshmi Narashimha, Nataraja Perumal, Sakarathalvar, Lord Shiva etc are being maintained and daily poojas and offerings are taking place. Temple Kumbashishekam was done in November 28th 2018.

HISTORY:

In this Kaliyuga, Lord Brahma’'s curse was lifted by Lord Arunachaleswara’'s Divine Grace. Shree Padmavathi had appeared to her disciple Sri Rajaji in his dreams and a Voice (Ashairravani) informed him that the curse of Brahma had been lifted.

To know more about it, Sri Rajaji started to meditate and went into a trance; the great Saint Kaushika Gotreeya Vishvamitra, along with Shree Kamadhenu standing under the Kalpavriksha, appeared before him and said, “"Due to your penance you have attained Kamadhenu in this Kaliyuga. To establish this triumph, I have chose this Kubera Nagara, the abode where the Trinities have manifested, along with their consorts. I will also manifest Myself here along with many Saints who have become one with Me. You have done thousands of service and the Trinity will bless you with bliss. You may, keeping Gomata as the central focus build a Goshala, install the idols of the Trinity in the way They will now appear before you; and those who contribute gifts and offerings to the Gomata, will be rid of the sins of even their previous births and even their future generations will be blessed”". Thus saying he vanished.

Then, surrounded by Gomatas on all the eight directions, the Navaratna Hills manifested and on them the Trinities along with their consorts and Sri Kubera, presented themselves. At this Divine sight, Sri Rajaji Swamy shut himself in a room, fasted and sat in meditation for many days.

One night Shri Annamalai appeared before him. The devotee cried, "Lord, I have the good fortune to see your Lotus feet, which even Vishnu and Brahma have not seen. I have witnessed your presence and being". So saying his eyes swelled with tears of joy; and then Vishnu and Brahma, along with Their consorts and Kubera with the Navaratna hills surrounded by thousands of mulching cows and a bison manifested themselves before the ardent devotee. He joined his palms and wailed in joy and suddenly, three blasts were heard which made the earth tremble, and he felt that he was lifted to the sky. He woke up with a jerk and he remained in that trance of Brahmananda and did not come out of it for months together.

Later, as per the wish of Lord, Sri Rajaji Swamigal built this Kubera Perumal Temple along with other deities and Kamadhenu.
